OUR TEAM

Dan Wright
Dan Wright is a seasoned public administration and operations consultant with over two decades of experience providing straightforward solutions to complex fiscal, Tribal, education, and natural resource problems. Dan advises clients on navigating complex budget processes, policy research and analysis, communication strategies, and public sector business development.

Previously, Dan served as a senior Budget and Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he managed multi-billion-dollar budgets and advised top leadership on legislative impacts and resource allocation. His leadership roles at the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement included overseeing governance reforms, strategic planning, and communications at the highest levels. Dan has written speeches and Congressional testimony for multiple political leaders at the Department of Interior, including four different Interior Secretaries.
Dan's background also includes school operations leadership at Crescent City Schools in New Orleans and budgetary oversight of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. He holds a Master of Public Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Bates College. He is an active member of the public administration community and served on the Board of Communities in Schools Gulf South. Dan lives in New Orleans with his wife and two kids.
Tiffany Taylor
Tiffany Taylor is a former federal budget executive with over twenty years’ experience in the Department of the Interior. Most recently she served as the lead executive for budget formulation in the Department managing the production and release of the annual Budget in Brief and supporting appropriations work throughout the year. Previously, she worked as a senior budget and program analyst in various leadership positions throughout the Department including within the Office of Insular Affairs, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Office of the Special Trustee. She also served as a staff detailee to the Senate Interior Appropriations Subcommittee supporting drafting of bill and report language. She is currently working to complete her PhD in Management from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.

Jeff Lang
Jeff Lang brings an in-depth approach to each client, positioning the key aspects of their business activities and financial structure to scale programs, pivot operations to address regulatory, policy, and funding changes, and to advise stakeholders on capital allocation, operating budgets, organization restructuring, and revenue generation.
Jeff is passionate about helping clients solve complex financial challenges with clarity, resolve, and integrity. He is known for his practical, actionable solutions, and taking a hands-on approach to modeling and analysis.

Prior to Wright Insights, he was a leading advisor within the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of the Secretary where he specialized in financial planning and analysis, program review, and managing relationships with White House offices, Congressional committees, and external stakeholders. His previous experience also includes enterprise risk management, internal audit, and management controls advisory.

Jeff holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland.
